This page will discuss the importance of ensuring that the revisied curriculum provides the necessary foundation for other programmes, both further and higher education
A major issue in many countries is TVET progammes. Typically they are expensive and ineffectual. Reforms are being undertaken in many countries which will change TVET from broad general programmes of several years duration to short, competency based modules linked to a TVET framework.
A key issue is what programmes should replace the old technical qualifications in technical schools that can no longer be supported both on educational and cost grounds.

Somewhere, perhaps linked to this page, the issue of ensuring that the currculum addresses the real needs of society, industry and commerce must be addressed. What form should the consultation exercise take?
