This page summarises the roadmap for currciulum revision. Each step in the roadmap is a process and the diagram shows the key inputs and outputs at each stage. The roadmap stages closely follows the flow chart on the Overview page.

Develop the curriculum framework
• Aims and objectives of secondary education
• Educational structure
• Key characteristics of the curriculum design (international benchmarking, achievement expectations, cost, core subject areas, compulsory/optional subjects, etc)
• Systemic issues (teaching hours, subject time allocations, etc)

Develop and implement a timeline and implementation strategy for the new curriculum. This should include mechanisms for meeting the teacher demand and strctures to support implemetation such as teacher support in the field

Implementation structure developed and support mechanisms in place
Develop and implement a research and monitoring plan to support the implementation
Implementation strategy
Information on the effectiveness and impact of the curriculum and its implementation
Note that the processes described are mainly, but not all, sequential. For example, while the implementation strategy cannot begin until after the curriculum and its supporting materials has been develped, the strategy can be planned much earlier.
